Terms of Service

By accessing or using Tour General ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this Platform.

Tour General is an online marketplace that connects travelers ("Guests") with independent local tour guides ("Guides"). We provide the technology platform, payment processing, and support services, but we are not a tour operator. Tours are operated independently by Guides who are not employees or agents of Tour General.

You must create an account to book tours or list experiences. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your profile information updated.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or harmful behavior.

All bookings are subject to Guide availability and confirmation. Prices are listed in USD and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payment is processed securely through Stripe at the time of booking.

Tour General charges no service fee to Guests. Guides receive 85% of the booking amount; Tour General retains 15% as a platform fee to cover payment processing, insurance, and platform maintenance.

Cancellations are governed by our Cancellation Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By completing a booking, you acknowledge and agree to that policy.

Guides must complete a background check before publishing tours. By listing a tour, Guides represent and warrant that they have all necessary permits, licenses, and insurance required to operate the experience in their jurisdiction. Guides are solely responsible for the content of their listings and the conduct of their tours.

Tour General reserves the right to remove any listing that violates our community standards, misrepresents the experience, or receives sustained negative reviews.

Guests agree to treat Guides and other participants with respect. Guests who engage in harassment, discrimination, property damage, or other harmful behavior may be removed from tours without refund and banned from the Platform.

All content on the Platform — including text, graphics, logos, and software — is the property of Tour General or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

By uploading photos, videos, or other content to the Platform, you grant Tour General a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and promote that content in connection with the Platform.

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. Tour General does not guarantee the accuracy of tour listings, the conduct of Guides, or the safety of any experience.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tour General shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform or participation in any tour.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tour General, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your participation in any tour experience.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Nashville, Tennessee.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
